The original Oculus Quest made room-scale 6DOF VR self-contained and wireless, then added Oculus Link so the same headset could access compatible PC VR experiences.
Production/sales ended: October 13, 2020, as Quest 2 reached retailers. Manufacturer support ended: August 31, 2024 for critical bug fixes and security patches. Existing apps remain usable; new Quest 1 apps stopped April 30, 2024 and updates to existing apps stopped January 31, 2025.
